I’ve not heard much of GANT by Michael Bastian, nor have I read anything about the brand’s menswear till I saw them on que for New York Fashion Week.  The new line by Michael Bastian, the founder and brand’s namesake, has a youth targeted style with that signature ivy-league style that is so iconic in American menswear.  There is plenty of color found in the sweaters, shirts, trendy belts and accent pieces.  I love the simple blazers and the east coast laid back style, but I will be happy to admit that I do not care for the boots and think that a majority of the pants are ill fitting and unflattering.  Cargo pants and foot laced mid-shin boots just don’t scream “sexy”.   The s/s collection for 2013 was great; there was a lot of life, the colors were great, cuts were sexy and the clothes all looked fun.  Not to say that this fall collection doesn’t; not saying that at all.  As I mentioned earlier, I love my laid-back east coast style and this collection is what we’re known for.
